Gabe Mackie, a gifted child...wrapped in the wisdom of an old soul. Delightful, inquisitive, curious and vulnerable. The other characters feed off his uniqueness and as he grows, so do they.
Three generations of the Mackie family fight through the emotions of losing their anchor, each one dealing with the tragic death of Summer - a sister, wife, mother, and daughter-in-law - and the mystery surrounding her - was this an accident or something more heinous and if so, whodunnit and whydunit.

Fans of character driven novels with an element of surprise, mystery, and family dynamics will devour this page-turner. A Kind of Hush embraces psychological, spiritual, moral and ethical dilemmas.
This little dude, Spark Pug, plays a role in this novel. He's asking how I came up with this story? The simplest answer is that it just evolved...word by word, page by page, chapter by chapter until the story was over. Insomnia is my friend.
